So, first of all I'd like to point out that this is indeed a rant. If you don't want to hear me gripe, GET OUT NOW.

I've had a long stream of waaaaaay too much stuff to do and not enough time. I love marching band, love love love it, but I've had so many practices and games and competitions that I'm just plain worn out. Not that I'm complaining about that part--- like I said, I love being in the marching band--- but the truth is, I don't have a lot of energy for any more crap than is absolutely necessary in my life. Which is why chorus class is even more horrible than I originally assumed.

Okay, first of all, a majority of the kids in that class are trouble-makers. Detention-getting law-breaking hoodlums. A few of them are as mean as snakes, and the rest of them are constantly sugarhigh. There's always horseplay, and the talking, dear God, the talking is endless, not to mention the perpetual flood of bad attitudes and disrespect. Secondly, the teacher is way too darn nice to do anything about it most of the time, and when the seniors try to take charge, we're ignored, because, frankly, we aren't the teacher. I highly doubt any of them would listen to us if we were. So, basically, all we do is bicker and gripe and we don't get a thing done. Only three days in the past four weeks of school have I left that class in a good mood, and my lack of energy does not help.

Also, today, some stupid freaking moron decided to write a fake bomb threat just to get out of class. It was an utter failure, because it wasn't discovered until after classes let out, and even so, they're going to go to juvy. That's all there is to it. The end. So basically its the stupidest thing ever. It doesn't do anything but waste time, and this time, it directly wasted MY time. First of all, the building was evacuated before the band had a chance to get our equipment, so I was stuck without a flag, and the whole colorguard was "air-flagging" and the band had to SING their music, and they were horribly off-tempo. And secondly, MY BACKPACK IS STILL IN THAT FRICKIN' BAND ROOM. I had to leave it there overnight because I couldn't stay and wait for the cops to clear out. I was going to have two beautiful pieces of art ready for you all tonight, but they're in the band room. Aaaah, my brand new Caboose backpack... I bet it has dog drool all over it from the bomb dogs.

*sigh* Anyway, I hope to have those pictures up tomorrow. God, band has eaten up so much of my life, it's ended up in my art. I can't draw a saxophone to save my life.

I know I promised someone or other that I'd have the next chapter of STATESofMIND finished by like, last week, but I wasn't able to find any extra time that week and last week I was in BAND CAMP. From 8:30 in the morning to 5 at night. Jeez. But now that I've had the weekend to make a full recovery, I'm back in business, and I have the computer to myself in the morning because my brother sleeps ridiculously late and all my friends, including my RP buddy, have gone back to school and yet somehow I still have two more weeks. So, two weeks of solitude it is. I should be able to have a chapter up by today if I book it.

Also, because I had some extra posterboard from a church project, I made myself a STATESofMIND poster, which is currently on my wall. I took a picture so I could show all of you, but unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to get pictures off of my mom's camera memory card. So, I'll have to wait until I have a chance to ask. Also, I'm working on converting the beginnings of a rough draft for the poster into a drawing. Camden and Gustavo are at the top, and they both came out looking AMAZING, so I decided that since I could never reproduce the images, my best bet was to just work on the poster so that the amazing art would end up on the final instead of the draft. However, I still wanted to use those rough draft bits with Cam and Gus, so they get their own picture. Gus looks so angry, but SO sexy. Can you tell I love Gus? I love Gus. Does that make me weird? XD
