Anime Central Adventures

I just got back from my very first convention! ACen was awesommmme. I cosplayed Vriska Serket from Homestuck and Chrona from Soul Eater, and it was funtiems indeed.

I spent a majority of my time with the superb and incredible Homestuck crowd. They were seriously the best ever. I have a million and one fun new stories to tell: helping my best friend cosplay as Nicolas Cage's character from Con Air at the very last second, licking buckets to just be obnoxious and gross, flipping people off and swearing, an adorable John giving me his bunny rabbit, a Tavros dressed as Pupa Pan, the attack of 4chan's Anonymous, meeting Octopimp, the most in-character Equius in history, a legitimately terrifying Sober Gamzee, and having my picture taken more times in a single weekend than in my entire life. Not to mention all my amazing new friends! And holy shit, those cosplays. That RoboAradia was amazing. That is some serious dedication.

I regret not having gone to many panels or things, but time was so limited and I'm glad I got to spend so much of it with these really great people, and I'm ESPECIALLY glad I get to stay in touch with felyndaer, OphiArts, and Glucosefiction. You guys are the greatest. X3 I am DEFINITELY going next year. And hopefully every year for the rest of my life.

SPEAKING OF NEXT YEAR.

I've already started work on next year's cosplay. In fact, within the next two weeks, I should have a complete Mindfang cosplay (I had a headstart because I was Vriska) and then I can start working on Eridan. Unfortunately, I will have to remake my Vriska/Mindfang horns. Between them falling off and busting at the con and trying to transport them home, the original horns have suffered some irreparable damage. They were far too delicate anyway, so this time I intend to use something sturdier and lighter. I also left my t-shirt and glasses in Chicago, but my dad found them and they're in a safe spot until I go back, so I'm not too worried.

Also, for the Mindfang cosplay. Does anyone know of a place where one can place an order for colored contacts whose colors are mismatched? I want one blue, one red. I can go without if need be, but I thought it would be cool.
